You may be eligible for the NDIS if:

• You are an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a Protected Special Category Visa.

The NDIS funds "reasonable and necessary" supports that help participants achieve their goals and live independently. These can include:

• Help with daily tasks like personal care and household chores.

• Support to participate in social, educational, or work-related activities.

• Mobility aids, assistive technologies, or home modifications.

The funding is personalised, meaning the services you receive will align with your unique needs and goals.

There are three ways to manage your NDIS funding:

• Self-Managed: You handle your budget, book services, and pay providers directly.

• Plan-Managed: A Plan Manager oversees your funds and pays service providers on your behalf.

• NDIA-Managed: The NDIA manages your budget and pays registered providers for you. You can also choose a combination of these options to suit your lifestyle and preferences.

Absolutely. You can involve your family or close friends as much or as little as you’d like. They can join you in planning meetings or help you make decisions about your support options.
